The property was a three bedroom 1930s terraced house with patio garden and double garage to the rear, in the heart of Exmouth, Devon.

The brief was to convert the existing house into two, high spec contemporary, two-bedroom flats both with en suite bathrooms and additional shower rooms. The ground floor flat was also to have a rear courtyard area and double garage accessed from a rear service lane. In order to accommodate the proposed level of accommodation it would be necessary to provide a rear extension as well as convert the roof space.
