Description

We were instructed to provide the design for the extensive remodelling of a 1970s bungalow. The brief was to create special care provision for the clients’ immediate family, new dedicated zones for relaxation and entertainment, along with an enhanced interaction with the owners' meticulously designed gardens.

The resulting design is a mixture of open and broken plan spaces which are subtly linked by glancing moments between the supporting structures. The use of the sun's path and design elements, such as the timber pergoda style structure and the water pool create a rich sense of colour and movement. This changes with the seasons; whether it be with the sun cascading through the timber frame or the rain falling into the water pool.
