Description

Our clients approached us to modify and extend this 1940s bungalow situated in the heart of Nottingham to create a property with a modern character that had access to the views across the city skyline.

The new structure and internal spaces were designed to reflect the changing sun position and to maximise the surrounding vistas.

The linear framed timber soffit carport/roof terrace provides punctuation to the new main building elevation. The use of dark powder coated steel almost scribes a line through the center of the white/buff brickwork.

The inclusion of a 8m x 2.5m sliding glass wall at the rear gives an uninterrupted view of the city of Nottingham.
