Description

In reimagining “Little Windows,” we turned a once dim and compartmentalized bungalow into a light-filled, welcoming home that fully embraces its gorgeous surroundings on the edge of the Vale of Belvoir. From the moment you approach the new tall, glass-gabled frontage, crowned with a bespoke copper door, you know you’re entering a space where thoughtful design leads the way.

Inside, the home opens up with a bright entrance hall and a gallery above, leading you either into a cozy drawing room or a dedicated office space. The flow is designed so that guests first linger in this welcoming zone before being invited deeper into the heart of the home.

As you move further inside, you’ll find a spacious open-plan kitchen and living area designed with wide sliding doors that frame a sculpted garden view. This garden gently terraces down, creating a sense of elevation without feeling disconnected from the landscape.

The client’s expertise in lighting design shines through, literally, with beautifully zoned evening lighting and a playful, creative bathroom that the client designed herself. We made sure to celebrate her role in the interiors, ensuring that her personal touch is a standout feature rather than blending into the background.

Upstairs, the new layout makes smart use of the eaves and vertical space, giving each bedroom a perfect balance of comfort and garden views. The master suite, in particular, is oriented to overlook private lawns and those lovely trees, making the most of the natural surroundings.

In essence, this transformation is all about bringing in light, celebrating the client’s personal style, and creating a home that feels both elevated and deeply welcoming. It’s a place where design and everyday living blend seamlessly.
